Cancer has touched my life and those I love and care about on a number of occasions, both personally and through friends and family.

Following my Dad's diagnosis this year, and my own cancer scares, I decided it was time to raise some money towards tackling this disease.

My friend is also at the forefront of conducting research to tackle cancer and she receives a substantial amount of her funding from Cancer Research. This and the work it does, made Cancer Research the ideal charity to raise funds for.

So my challenge was to cycle 400km through Vietnam and Cambodia over 5 days. It was hot (37C), dusty, at times monotonous but opened my eyes once again to the gifts we are given in our life and the choices we have to make. Life is too precious to waste a single day!

I also want to emphasise that all of the money you donate is going towards the charity as I paid for the cost of going on the trip, so every penny you can provide will go directly to Cancer Research.
