My journey with children started eleven years ago when I was privileged to work with a profoundly autistic child and have been involved with children and young people with life threatening and life limiting illnesses ever since, which has led me to undertake this challenge.

Next March i will be taking part in an exciting adventure and challenge, all for a good cause, to raise money to help disadvantaged and sick children.  I will be embarking on the Jordan Desert Challenge, hiking through the Arabian desert in Jordan.  Starting at the dead sea and finally finishing at the ancient red rock city of Petra.  The trek will be in excess of 100km which will be over a period of 6 days and will cover rough terrain, sheer drops and extreme weather conditions.  Every step taken will benefit hundreds of sick and disadvantaged children through the work of the four special charities: Barnardo's, Dreams Come True, Kith & Kids and MedEquip4kids.
