Story
The need for the secondary school is great. It will be an important improvement upon the current system in which many deaf teenagers miss out on a secondary education.
There are 71 primary schools for the deaf in Kenya, but only five secondary schools, none of which are in the eastern area of the country.Me and 30 other dedicated students each have to fundraise £1000 before we start building the school this August. The money each volunteer fundraises goes directly into building materials and services for this worthwhile project. By building excellent facilities we can hope to start changing attitudes towards disability.
Alongside fundraising for the project I am working within the media team. My responsibilities include helping producing the graphics for this project, which will hopefully engage and encourage people to donate to this great cause!
Please give generously and help us build a brighter future for 200 deaf teenagers in Kenya!
A big thank you to all the people that have donated so far.
