Claire's Hitch to Morocco
Fundraising for Link Community Development
Story
On the 2nd of April my friend Oli and I are going to hitch-hike from London to the very bottom of Spain and then over to Morocco. The journey through England, France and Spain takes an average of six days. We have booked our flight back for ten days after our departure to allow some time to experience Morroco.
To take part in the hitch we need to raise a minimum £300 each for Link Community Development. LCD is a charity working in Africa, and the money will be going directly towards improving the teaching quality and learning in Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, South Africa and Uganda, affecting over half a million school children. The work that LCD does is sustainable and the money the Hitch brings aids financial security, allowing them to commit to projects in the long term.
Hitch is LCD's largest fundraiser and last year it raised £340,000 alone with 1.2 million so far over all.

In return for the money, Link provide a tracking service for the duration of the Hitch, until we reach Morroco. This allows them, as well as our friends and family, to know where we are, and the system will show our progress online.
