Story
First of all, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to come on to my Just Giving page. Let me tell you why I've made this page..
Having lost my gran to Motor Neurone Disease, I have decide to run 5K in the Edinburgh Marathon this year. This wasn't even something I had to think twice about if it meant raising money for MND. Living with MND is an unimaginable nightmare for any of us. For anybody who doesn't know anything about MND, it's a disease that leads to your muscles and bones wasting away meaning you lose the capability to move as normal, and also affects your speech, swallowing and breathing. Having to watch someone you love more than anything go through this day by day is the most heart wrenching thing. And even though my gran lost her battle with MND, I would never want anyone else to have to go through the pain and suffering that she did. That is why I'm doing this 5K, it doesn't matter if I raise £5 or £5000, its the fact that we need the recognition and awareness of this disease in peoples minds so that we can somehow come up with a cure to this horrible disease. If you are able to donate anything at all, I would be extremely grateful!
For any of you who know me, will agree that I'm not the most active person out there! So doing this is definetely a challenge for me but it is nothing compared to actually living with MND.
Lastly I'd just like to say a massive thank you to anyone who is able to donate any amount towards this cause!!! You are helping people fight against this horrible disease!!
