Story
On Friday 13th December (!!!!) 2013 I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Breast Cancer; extensive DCIS and two seperate tumours. Following a full right mastectomy and 6 lymph nodes removed on 2nd January, I am currently on my chemotherapy journey, which will be followed by Herceptin (1 year) and Tamoxifen ( 5 years).
My treatment has been fast, efficient and delivered with such understanding of my breast cancers which is thanks to ongoing Cancer Research. Mr Callanan, my surgeon, and my Macmillon Specialist nurse Antoinette are simply outstanding people. I feel truly blessed to have them as part of my care team. My gratitude to them, to my family & friends and to Cancer Research simply cannot be expressed....it is immeasurable.
