Story
So, finally, two months later - I'm walking almost normally again!
I think most of you have heard about my injury which I sustained during this epic run at the end of April. Being wheel-chaired away at the end was not my idea of fun.
But without dwelling on the downside, I had a fabulous time running at least the first 21 miles and your generous donations inspired me to keep going through the pain.
I finished in 4hr 48mins, not bad for my first time but I'm determined to do better and remain injury free next year.
Thanks to your generosity, I managed to raise a total of £4500! - a truly fantastic achievement - my sincere thanks to all of you. And Oxfam were so thrilled that they have given me a secure place to run next year again for them .... so I'll be begin training again soon and will send you details of fund-raising events in the next few months.
For now, just a big thank you for all your support - both in donations, as well as emails, calls, texts and support since I've been a hop-a-long casualty!
Well done to everyone for making a difference and helping Oxfam with its great work.
