Story
Last year I raised enough money by running the Hackney Half to create a stock of "comfort packs" for relatives of dying patients. We give these to people who may need to stay overnight in hospital unexpectedly - a bag with toiletries and other useful supplies and information leaflets about food, parking, etc in the hospital at night. We have had good feedback that these packs have been very welcome at a difficult time. I want to use my run this year to build up the supplies.
Can I also encourage you to visit another Just Giving page? My running buddy is Casey Stewart-Smith who is running this year's London Marathon in support of her young friend Ruby Lambert. Please consider donating to One4Ruby marking your donation "Casey's Marathon".

Thanks to Casey's excellent training programme, I am anticipating a personal best in the Hackney Half. I'm already able to run 12 miles, and my half marathon is still 4 months away...
