In November 2020 my eldest daughter was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis after being very ill for several months.

We have been so lucky to have been in the excellent care of a fantastic team at Addenbrookes Hospital who have looked after Hannah from her diagnosis and with her ongoing treatment.  We have reached out to the Crohn's & Colitis UK Charity too and have received excellent help from them.

I have decided to raise money for this very worthwhile charity and will be running the Ely Half Marathon on 26th September, the London Virtual Marathon on 3rd October and the Cambridge Half Marathon on 17th October.  This is quite a challenge but I will be taking inspiration from my daughter, Hannah, as everyday is a challenge for her living and adapting to this chronic illness.  She has good days and bad but tries so hard to face her daily battles.  I will be concentrating on peeling off the miles to achieve my goal of running three races in a very short space of time and hopefully raising some money along the way.
