Here is our story; Our Mum, Sue was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in June this year and due to the aggressiveness and severity on my Mum's brain and blood, she was not strong enough to fight it. This caused absolute devastation throughout our family and friends as she passed away just 4 days after being diagnosed.
The blood clot on her brain could not be tamed by the best doctors in the country and Mum had to go undergo major surgery on Friday 20th June. In the late evening the news was delivered to us that Mum had a 10% survival rate at this point due to damage on her brain and her lack of immunity to fight back. On Saturday Evening we were then to be told there was 5% chance of survival, we all prepared ourselves for the worst. At 5:20pm, on Sunday 22nd June, the doctors and nurses rushed us to my Mum's hospital as we all said a very emotional goodbye, leaving behind, her husband, 3 children, mum&dad, her brother&sister, her auntie&cousins, her nieces&nephews and also her amazing friends and work collaegues.
Our Mum was dearly loved by anyone who knew her and we all miss her each and everyday. So please help us to raise as much money as possible for a great charity to help prevent the pain of this happening to another family.
