OK, so it didn't go according to plan!  I had a bad cold all week and just didn't have the energy or fitness on the day which was very disappointing!  So, I did it in 4.31 which was a personal best but only one minute faster than last year!!!

I can honestly say that every step after the 14th mile was agony and had it not been for the crowd support I would have been even slower.  In the words of the great Steve Redgrave, if you ever see me go near another marathon, shoot me!  (Well, he wasn't talking about marathons obviously.)

Anyway, there is still time to sponsor me so if you can spare some money  I ran for The Actors' Charitable Trust, TACT.  Their website is www.tactactors.org and the charity provides much needed advice, support and grants for children of actors.  In the current economic climate I don’t need to stress that this year will be a challenging one for many of the people we help.
