Story

On Sunday 12th of September, my sister and I will be taking part in 40th Great North Run to raise funds for St. Oswald's Hospice who provided outstanding care for our Grandfather who sadly passed away in November 2019 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

During this incredibly difficult time, our family’s minds were put at ease knowing that our Grandad was in the care of the wonderful staff and volunteers who went above and beyond to ensure that he received dignified and compassionate care in a calm and tranquil environment.

The services at St. Oswald's Hospice are offered for free and would not be able to run without the kind donations it receives. Claire and I would be incredibly grateful if you could provide a donation to help this remarkable charity continue to provide its fantastic services and care for adults, children and babies across the North East. After all, we never know when a family member may need this vital care.

What your donation could provide

£4 – Could buy bandages, crucial for a patient using Lymphoedema services

£5 - Can provide a nutritious meal for a patient in their care

£10 – Could pay for art and craft materials for children who stay at the hospice for respite breaks

£25 – Could fund vital oxygen for a patient who needs extra support with their breathing

Thank you for taking the time to read!
