Story
Thank you so much for everyone's support and generosity.
I made it round in a pleasing 1:38:39 - 15th female, 215th out of 1,623 finishers. It's a very scenic country course although I didn't think much of the 1.5 mile 'never ending' hill at Fawley!! Very cruel. But I seem to be in one piece this morning apart from some very sore, blistered toes!
Thanks again,
Claire

As you may already be aware, due to the recent outbreak of foot and mouth, Windsor Great Park is closed for the foreseeable future and so the Windsor Half has had to be cancelled.
But, don't fret, I will still be putting myself through the pain barrier in the Henley Half Marathon instead, a fortnight later on Sunday 14th Oct @ 10am.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As many of you know, I have decided to run the Windsor Half on Sunday 30th September. Fingers crossed that after taking up rowing I can still remember how to run!
I’m hoping to raise a few hundred pounds for the Thames Valley Hospice (now known as Thames Hospicecare). They provided fantastic support and care when my Uncle was battling against cancer a couple of years ago and I would love to give them something in return.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will also be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. If you’re in the Windsor area on the 30th, the race starts at 1pm on the Long Walk.
See you all soon,
Claire
