Story
On the 3rd March 2023 our family had our world ripped apart by the devastating news that Poppy our beautiful little girl had a brain tumour. It’s news you never want to hear. We have travelled to Leeds five days a week for six weeks for radiotherapy. Poppy also had six weeks of chemo therapy. All the time she attended school, had a smile on her face and took it all in her stride, she never complained and she showed us all what being a warrior means!
We have had several new normals since March and every time Poppy has dealt with it. We could not be more proud of her.
It shocked me after Poppy received this diagnosis to see how poorly funded brain tumour research is. The treatment Poppy has received has not changed in the last 40 years!!!! When you think about all the developments in treating other forms of cancer this blows my mind. So please donate if you can to try and help the research into brain tumours continue.
I want to try and raise as much money as I can for brain tumour research.
If anyone would like to join me for walks please let me know, the company would be appreciated. 😃
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
