London Landmarks Half Marathon 2018 · 25 March 2018 ·
I have worked with many charities as part of my job as a Teacher of the Deaf but none have touched my heart in the same way that the Lily Foundation has. Professionally I have seen first hand how they have supported families through difficult times as well as pushing forward with research into mitochondrial disease. However I have also seen personally the impact they have had through the support given to some of my friends who sadly lost their gorgeous little boy to the disease last year.
Those of you who know me well will know that although I would love to be a runner I am not destined to be one so a half marathon will be a huge challenge for me. Any sponsership you are able to give will, I'm sure, inspire me to put all aches and pains aside and train through the winter to ensure I do my best for the Lily Foundation and for Jake.
Thank you
Claire

There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.
