Our friend Luca became suddenly very ill in April 2009 (age 2) with acute liver failure, the cause of which is still unknown. It was life threatening and meant he needed an urgent liver transplant.

The Childrens Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) have been a huge support to Luca's family since his illness and transplant. CLDF have provided vital information and support and fund research programmes. 

Luca is now nearly 6 years old and a fun, feisty, bright, brave child.

On a lighter note Emily and I started running in August 2012 ( I blame the olympics) and for some reason decided we quite enjoy it. Then one crazy October evening we decided to give our selves a target to make sure we kept it up through the winter and now we find our selves facing a slightly scary challenge. 

Doing this for a cause so close to our hearts has made us more determined.
