On 22nd April 2012 I will take on the London marathon. This will be my first - and in all probability last - attempt at a marathon.
I will be pounding the pavements to raise pounds for Cancer Research UK, a charity which is very close to home.
You might feel the charity gets a lot of attention already, but it then does have a colossal job on its hands. The charity spends hundreds of millions of pounds on research every year and is entirely funded by public donations:
