Story
Back in May I lost someone very special to me, Phil, William and Lilly's daddy. He is very sadly missed and thought of everyday. This last six months have been the hardest of my life and I wouldn't be still standing if it wasn't for my amazing close family and friends. But also, The Russ Devereux Headlight Project. The team at the project have played an enormous role in providing me with the support I have needed and they continue to do so. I would like to pay some thanks back to the project for the fantastic work they do. So I've decided to take part in the boxing day dip, something I've never done before and have no real desire to do! Jake has offered to do the dip with me because it's for a brilliant cause.
The Russ Devereux Headlight Project was founded in memory of Russell Devereux by his wife Catherine. Russ tragically died by suicide on 6 May 2018 age 41 leaving behind three young children. The aim of the project is to work with children, delivering emotional resilience programmes in schools. The Project also offers play therapy for children and one to one counselling for both children and adults and has a particular focus on helping families bereaved by suicide.
