I met Hannah in Manchester airport as we were flying out to see Biffy Clyro, along with another lass called Nic and the common thread to us all … Carla!.
I met Carla in the line to see Biffy Clyro in Sheffield and we shared the barrier together and kept in touch. Carla met Hannah in the USA where she went to see Biffy Clyro…. Can you see a theme?! Carla knew Nic from a Muse gig years ago (maybe Biffy were involved ?!) Anyway, us strangers met up because we love Biffy Clyro and music and now we embark on our next crazy stunt; FIRE WALKING!
Hannah is THE most awesome person; she’s just an incredible lass and she decided this would be a good idea.
I’ll admit that I was reluctant at first, I mean it’s fire… why would I walk on it !! …but then she posted about her last scan ( No evidence of tumour progression 🙌🏼) and that treatment for Glioblastoma in the UK hasn’t changed in 20 years. This, along with a ’kick up the arse’ paragraph of brutal honesty from her , I was left with tears in my eyes and the huge realisation that I had ZERO reason not to join her to try and help support the amazing organisation that has supported her ( Brain Tumour Research) .
So zero reason and total FOMO has lead me to set up this page because along with Carla and Hannah and some other beautifully crazy folk, I am going out of my comfort zone and am going to put my bare feet forward to try and raise some money for this fabulous organisation and I would LOVE for you to help too.
Thank you xx
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Please consider getting involved in this amazing challenge to help us get closer to our vision of a cure for all types of brain tumours.
