On September 5, 2013, my sister gave birth to my nephew, James. He was so perfect in every way except his heart. James was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and died in his mom's arms 10 days later.

James spent his short life at home with the support of the Claire House nurses. After he passed, he spent time in one of their Butterfly Rooms where my family could spend uninterrupted time saying goodbye.

Parents who need Claire House Children's Hospice are experiencing some of their darkest days, but they will never have to worry about getting a bill for the services.

I'm honored to have been selected for the Claire House London Marathon 2020 team (now 2021). I am raising money and running 26.2 miles in memory of James.
