Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are walking 15km in Memory of Lisa Colcutt

With the support of Lisa’s husband Jason, on Friday 26th June 2020, friends & colleagues of Lisa are walking 15km from Budleigh Salterton to Otterton and back again (socially distanced of course!) This is to raise as much money as possible for Exeter’s Crohn’s & Colitis Group - a group close to her heart and for whom she volunteered tirelessly, up until her untimely passing in her fight against Crohn’s Disease. Despite her own health issues & the demands of a full-time job, Lisa was always generous with her time, a support to many and always with a beautiful smile on her face!

Although this page has been set up using my own details, this is very much a group effort. Lisa was loved & respected by many and anyone who wishes to join us on this walk, is of course very welcome. It will be staggered to maintain social distancing & dependent upon government guidelines at the time. It could be postponed at short notice if further government restrictions are put in place. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more specific details.

We would be incredibly grateful for any donations. We hope that the money raised will go a small way, to supporting others living with Crohn’s & Colitis locally.

Please note that this page is raising money in aid of the Exeter Local Network. All money received by Crohn’s & Colitis UK through this page will be passed onto the team and used by them locally to continue their work.

Anyone who wishes to take part, please meet at the Lime Kiln Carpark, Budleigh Salterton (parking charges apply) at 4pm on Friday 26th June 2020. Please note that social distancing from others on the walk will be your own responsibility & we ask this is respected in line with government advice. Please find link below for walk itinerary:-

UPDATE - 23/06/2020

As social distancing still remains an issue, we have decided it best that we do not wait to meet everyone on Friday. We would suggest that anyone wishing to take part, meets within their own groups at a time convenient to them and begins their walk once everyone in their group has arrived.

The route above equates to approximately 8.4km for a full round trip of the circuit. Some people have opted for a shorter distance but for those wanting to complete the full 15km, we suggest you aim to complete the route fully and then restart the route once back in Budleigh. Once you get approximately 3km into your second round, you can turn around and return to the carpark. We will place a bunch of flowers to mark the 3km point for guidance.

We may need to make up some distance along the seafront if we are short but we will be tracking ourselves with Strava to make sure we complete 15km’s. You are of course free to complete your walk in any which way or route you choose.

We will be wearing purple Crohn’s & Colitis T.Shirts so please make yourselves known to us if you see us along the route! We’d love to get as many photos as possible for the family so please do send them on after the event if you are happy to.

Hope to see lots of you out walking on Friday! 💜

This page will close on Friday 3rd July 2020.

We miss you Lisa xx
