The story so far: Pete and John, were diagnosed with MND in summer 2016.  We decided to stand with them, and others with MND,  by walking the Letchworth Greenway - a 13.6 mile circuit - every month for a year. We are gathering other families who are also affected.

In January we hoped that at least 8 people would join Claire & Margaret on each half marathon walk.  If we all raised £100 minimum sponsorship for each walk, we would hit our £12000 target!  We raised £50000 in 50 weeks - a couple of days after Walk 12.

More than 2800 people in the UK have died from MND since we began walking, including our friends. There is no cure.  The money raised is for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).  The first £20000 was for research.  All new money is split equally between research and the amazing work of their North and East Herts Branch.
