Story
Another year, another challenge.... or three!!
Age 56 is too young to die, and there are people much younger facing the pain and loss of cancer every day. Mum lost her battle aged just 56 in 2009, but not before putting up one hell of a fight and always with a smile on her face. If she can go through all of that, then I know I can put my body through a bit of pain and a few pulled muscles to help a great charity that is fighting this disease every day in the hope that others won't have to go through the loss that I, and so many others, have suffered.
That's why I've siged up for the National Three Peaks Challenge in July - climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in 24 hours; Total Warrior 10 mile assault course in August (I did the 10k last year) - running through flames, jumping 8 foot walls and crawling though mud tunnels in the Lake District; and returning to my home town to complete the Warrington half marathon in September. I'll be throwing in a few 10k runs and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge as training leading up to the big events too.
I'm sure you all know someone who has been affected by cancer in one way or another, so I don't need to tell you how important it is to raise awareness and support research.
No amount is too small, so if you can spare anything, please donate. I'm not asking you to inherit my madness and join in, all you have to do is click the donate button from the comfort of your sofa... and then possibly listen to me moan about my achy joints afterwards!!! :)
If you've got this far, then I just want to thank you for reading my story.
Love Always

Miss you Mum! x
