Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi everyone! Myself and my mum Pauline are taking on a 165ft Abseil challenge from the Forth Rail Bridge on the 15th of October!!
Neither of us have ever abseiled before and we are not particularly fond of heights!! (Yes, I think we might be mad....)
We are putting our fears aside and putting on a brave face to raise some funds for the Ronald McDonald House in Glasgow.
Jamie, myself, my dad Philip & Kayla are also running the Baxters 5k on Sunday the 24th of September! :-)

Many of you will know that myself & Jamie had a little boy born on the 7th of December 2016 - Harry was very poorly when he was born and was flown to Glasgow within 8hrs of his birth. There we discovered our little boy had been born with a Congential Heart Defect called Transpostion of the Great Arteries (TGA) - Harry had a surgical procedure at 2 days old to make a small hole in his heart to enable his blood to mix until he was big enough for his surgery.
At 13 days old our little warrior was taken to theatre for his Open Heart Surgery - as a parent, putting your child's life in someone else's hands is one of the most difficult things you can do!
Due to many complications during Harry's recovery, we spent 6 weeks in Glasgow before being transferred back to Raigmore.

Being so far away from home and having such a poorly baby I really don't know what we would have done had it not been for Ronald McDonald House in Glasgow.
It is such an amazing facility providing free home away from home facilities and atmosphere to families with children in critical care - just a 5 minute walk from the hospital.
I had always seen the charity collection boxes but in my ignorance never realised what an incredible resource it was and would become to my family.

Myself and family would really love to help raise funds and help all the charities who helped make such a difficult time, that little bit easier for us continue to do their work and help other families like ours.

We really appreciate you taking the time to read our story and donating to our page!! Thank you so much! :D
