Skydive for Dementia · 9 May 2021
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The opportunity to fulfil a desire to do a Skydive came about when Alzheimers Support decided to arrange for 30 people to jump out of a plane last September to celebrate 30 years of the charity. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, this was cancelled but we are now booked to jump on the 9th May 2021.
I work as a Dementia Adviser for Alzheimers Support and see daily the benefits that people living with Dementia in Wiltshire get through the services we run, from Day Clubs, Home Support Services and the many Community Groups.
The skydive, and the opportunity to raise money for Alzheimers Support seemed the perfect duo. When I mentioned to my Dad that I was going to do this, he asked if he could join me for a Dad and Daughter Skydive! I am excited to share this moment with him, and I also have someone to push me if I try to back out!!!

I am very proud of Claire’s work for this amazing charity. Although part funded by Wiltshire Council, Alzheimers Support needs to raise an additional £300,000 per year to continue it’s valuable work across the whole of Wiltshire. Due to Covid 19, fundraising has been greatly affected for this small charity over the past year. I jumped (ha ha!) at the chance to join Claire on this exciting venture and I hope we both have soft landings.
