The 2013 Maggies' Culture Crawl took place on Friday 20th September. I was joined by my sister Anita, and friends Claire and John. The walk started at Victoria Embankment Gardens and we got off to a strong start. Aiming to be in bed before sunrise we took a rain check on the London Eye and made our first stop at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office where we enjoyed fine Darjeeling tea courtesy of Fortnum & Mason in the Durbar Court. Then off to the Maggies' centre at Charing Cross Hospital via the Roca London Gallery where we were entertained by an alternative dance/mime performance of two women in no more than their underwear and pearl chokers. After throwing some shapes at the silent disco at the Royal Geographical Society we paid homage to Sir Christopher Wren at St Paul's. Our 15 mile perambulation among some of London's best architecture ended just after 2am with bacon butties and a fabulous view of London from the top of the last stop, The Gherkin.
