Neema Crafts Centre, Tanzania employs over 100 disabled people, providing much needed employemnt and training. It is also changing the negative attitudes to the disabled that are so common. Neema Crafts also provides free physiotherapy for disabled children. This project now needs regular funding.

Story

Hi Guys and Gals,

So I am running (walking quickly) up 3 mountains in Scotland, England and Wales all in the name of an awesome project called Neema Crafts. This is a workshop that makes some amazing craft products by deaf and disabled people.

In Tanzania there is no benefit system for those with a disability. If a disabled person does not have work,  family support or begging in the street is the only way they can survive. Having enough to eat is a daily issue in Tanzania so if an adult family member cannot support him or herself then often they are rejected by their families, not because they do not care but simple economics means they cannot support them.

With your help, money will be put straight into the project to help these people, many of whom I know personally and love dearly.  Any little does help.

If you want to know anymore about the project, or even want to buy some of the goods (which are amazing I can guarantee!!) then please visit their website at http://www.neemacrafts.com/index.php

Thank you for checking this out, and please please please do help.

Thank you so much

Claire (Rocky!)
