On Sunday 9th October at 9.00 (when we should be in a warm bed reading the Sunday papers and drinking coffee) Claire Livesey and Joanne Carradice will hear the starting gun that signifies the start of the 26 miles that is the Chester Marathon. We have done the training (as best we could fit in with husbands, work and small children..) and we have every intention of not only finishing the race but to do it with big smiles on our faces. We may not be fast but we are determined. We would like your help in raising some money for our chosen charity. Any donation will be most happily received, even the smallest of donations all add up and when at around mile 20 our lycra is rubbing, our faces are purple and our blisters are hurting, we will remember all of you and why we are doing this and it will all be worth while.
