My dad ran many Great North Runs for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research, now known as Bloodwise. I would like to carry on the tradition but I am not a runner, so when I heard about this walk I thought it would be a good opportunity to raise some money both in memory of my dad and for my mum who would have been celebrating her 70th birthday this September
