Update 27th April

Well I did it! I completed the London Marathon for the third time. I got a personal best of 5:45:22. You can read about my experience here:

I HIT MY TARGET ON 7TH APRIL THANKS TO THE KIND GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT OF MANY PEOPLE INCLUDING MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND WHO TOOK ME OVER THE £2000 WITH HIS DONATION (love you too Rick xxx). BUT I'M NOT STOPPING THERE, I STILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT BECAUSE NOW I WANT TO SMASH IT!!!! Carry on reading......

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the 2012 Virgin London Marathon for the Stroke Association in recognition of my grandmother Lynne, a stroke survivor.

Lynne suffered a serious stroke in 2010, and is still learning to live with its consequences. She was one of the lucky ones, she got treatment within 3 hours, thanks to the FAST campaign which my aunt Gill had remembered when she found her, otherwise who knows whether she would still be with us.

 

The Stroke Association work tirelessly to raise awareness of how to prevent strokes, as well as how to recognise them and seek help quickly when they happen, and how to support victims and survivors and their families in the aftermath. 

 

Anyone can have a stroke, no matter what age.
