Story
As most of those closest to me know, it has long been a dream of mine to run the London Marathon. It has always been on my 'To-do before I turn 30' list, and now my chance is here!
So here I am living my dream, running a mere 26.2 miles and raising some money for charity!
I'm running on behalf of VSO, an international development charity that works through, and with, volunteers to fight global poverty and disadvantage. They bring together people to share skills, creativity and learning to build a fairer world. VSO volunteers from a wide range of professional backgrounds live and work as part of a community for up to two years, with the impact of their work lasting far beyond this time. The average cost of recruiting, training and sending a volunteer on a placement is £15,000 a year.
Therefore, please help me to support this great charity. Knowing I am raising a good amount of money for them will help keep me going on that long run in April!
