Story
Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am doing the midnight walk for St Gemma’s Hospice on Saturday 15th May so I’m hoping I can raise loads of money for the hard work and dedication all the staff put in to help those that stay in their care. My father in law Brian spent a lot of time there before he died and all the staff made his stay the best they could, from the doctors to the cleaners they all had time for him and helped make him as comfortable as could be. They took time to talk to us all and support the family through the difficult times. They are all really amazing people. The hospice is a charity and only operates from donations so the money I raise is going to a great cause to provide help and care for another patient with a terminal disease and to provide that much needed support for that family.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I am walking in memory of Brian and also other family members passed away that were close to mine and Dave’s heart – Grandad Brooks, Dave’s mum Janette and Auntie Val, my Uncles Harry, Tom and Bill and my Auntie Barbara Boardman. So please dig as deep as you can whether its £1 or £10, every penny counts and help me say thank you to St Gemma’s and their staff. Love Claire x
