In 2022, I am taking on the challenge of running in the London Marathon to support ActionAid! ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. 

I've supported ActionAid for many years, as a family we sponsor a young girl, Elizabeth, in Sierra Leone. I have seen first hand the incredible work they do and how for Elizabeth the support of ActionAid has turned what could have been a life of struggle and misery into one of opportunity. The stark news in the face of climate change is that regions of the world in which some of the poorest and most vulnerable people like Elizabeth live will be hardest hit. The work that organisations like ActionAid do is needed more than ever. I am very privileged to be able to combine a lifelong ambition to run the London marathon with the opportunity to raise money for this amazing organisation. 

ActionAid and their dedicated local staff are changing the world with women and girls. They are ending violence and fighting poverty so that all women, everywhere can create the future they want.
