Hi,
I’ve volunteered for an amazing challenge in October! I’ve been accepted to take part in the to Cycle Challenge covering 211 miles in 5 days and I am inspired to achieve this for a very good cause. I was hoping that you can help me in my efforts to raise
£2,000 in aid of the charity.
Following a recent charity golf match (in my usual enthusiastic way) I agreed to get involved in the cycle challenge which is taking place on the 1st - 5th of October. There will be several individuals from the fund management/ investment community that will be taking place in this ride and I feel this is my opportunity to do my bit for those much less fortunate.
New Ways is a UK registered charity that is run by unpaid volunteers – in this way the charity keeps administration costs to the absolute minimum, so that as much as is possible of the money raised goes to those in need.
New Ways supports a range of health and development projects, mainly in , that will ultimately enable the people they help to take responsibility for their own lives. To do this, they need access to water, health facilities and education, as well as the tools to grow food for themselves and their livestock – in this way they are empowered.
By taking part in the challenge, I have committed myself to raising at least £2000 in sponsorship.
I need your help to achieve this. I know you probably already donate to various charities but I would really appreciate it if you can dig deep and donate towards what is a very worthy cause. A small amount can make a massive difference to those which the charity helps.
“The importance of the Nutritional Nursery Schools in Turkana, - of 1,000 live births 159 babies don’t survive 3 months and another 159 won’t make it past 5 years old. If we feed them regularly in the nurseries (they get breakfast and lunch) then they stand a far better chance - the figures for infant mortality have reduced by about a third - what a difference. £50 keeps a child in nursery school for a year!”
I have attached the link below to the charity website – I hope you will want to look at this to find out more about why I am asking for your help to meet the target I have set myself.

Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. And please dig deep. I really do appreciate it and the thought of helping others will be driving me on through those 211 miles!
