Story
Georgina sadly died on the 23rd June; she has been an inspirational woman to us and feel very honoured to have had her in our lives. Paul talks so highly of St Oswald's and how it supported them all in the latter days ensuring Georgina had the dignity and pain free days as she had wished.
In her farewell letter to use all she was as eloquent as ever she says:
'Please don't take a single day for granted.Seize every opportunity to be happy, to be kind and to make a difference. Love fiercely and bravely because in the end that is all that matters. To be loved and to express love is the fundamental of human existence.'
It's an honour to run this year in your memory for a cause we know you and your family had some comfort in.
Ian and I have seen first hand over the past few weeks the wonderful work and support St Oswald's Hospice provides for our dear friends Georgina and Paul Morgan. Georgina was diagnosed with a rare cancer Pseudomyxoma; throughout her battle Paul and herself have shown such strength & bravery in the challenges they have faced. Georgina is an amazing woman , GP, mother, wife, daughter in law and friend , always thoughtful and thinking of others even through her battle with cancer. When I visited Georgina at St Oswald's Hospice it all made sense as to why they had chosen to be there. Such a tranquil calm place to be, with staff which Georgina couldn't rate anymore highly. A space where all the the family are looked after and make sure those precious moments they spend together are special. Georgina has posted wonderful reflections throughout her illness and the journey it has taken her on and I only I wish I her eloquence to fully describe how wonderful this charity is. We see it very much as a worthy cause to run for & hope you can consider making a donation however big or small.
Huge thank you for taking time to read.
Claire & Ian
