When You Wish Upon A Star is a fantastic charity which makes dreams happen for sick children. Some children wish to be a fairy princess or soldier for the day, swim with dolphins or swap hospital beds for sleighs and visit Lapland.

I lost my amazing mum Carole Hartshorn in September 2018 after she courageously battled her way through so many challenges during her illness. On mum's journey we met a little boy around the age of 7 who was full of energy and spirit, unfortunately this little boy was on the same journey as mum. Mum and I found ourselves reflecting about this little boy often and how unfair life can be. Everyone deserves to smile. Now I have lost my mum the realisation has hit me of how important memories really are and how they continuously form part of daily life so ... I decided to take on a challenge of my own in mum’s memory TOUGH MUDDER (Saturday 7th September 2019).
