Story
On the 25th October, we are taking part in Sue Ryder’s Walk to Remember virtual event, walking in memory of our Mum, Janice Edwards. Sadly our Mum passed away in August this year having lived with Multiple Sclerosis for 15 years.
Arlene, Philip and Claire will complete a 10 km walk around Oldmeldrum and the surrounding area to remember the fond childhood memories we have with our Mum in the village in which we grew up. Our Dad, Bob, will also join us on some of the walk.
We will be raising funds for Sue Ryder’s Aberdeen neurological care centre, Dee View Court. Our Mum received excellent care here.
Dee View Court is Scotland’s only purpose-built specialist care centre providing round the clock care for people with long-term and degenerative neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone Disease and Huntington's, as well as acquired brain injuries through incidents such as road traffic accidents or a stroke.
A recent expansion has allowed for 44 people aged 18-65 to call Dee View Court their home.
We thank you in advance for your support of our fundraising walk and if you see us on the day please do give us a wave.
