I'm completing a charity skydive, not only because it will be an amazing experience, but also because I want to show support to the Alzheimer's Society by raising money for the charity.

My family has been directly affected by Alzheimer's.  My grandmother suffered from it until she died in 2011, as did my step-father's mum.  And now my husband's uncle suffers with it too, with those closest to him having to watch him become a shadow of the man he once was, someone who barely recognises them.

It's a truly awful disease, and I would like to see more being done to raise awareness and to raise funds to support research and care for sufferers  and their families.
