Please join me and my brother James in helping to raise funds for these loving creatures. We are truly honored to have been selected to help raise funds for this worthy cause.

We do have a story, please read on as to why we are running for team donkey sanctuary.

The images that you see below were taken of me in my late teenage years with our first two donkeys, their names were Brandy and George. Brandy was rescued by our mother at a meat auction, she rescued her from a fate of death. She felt sorry for the sad eyed, bedraggled looking donkey and decided to purchase her at a bargain price. Our mother then squeezed her in the back of her land rover(with the help of some farmers) and drove her back home! Unbelievably, she came to us pregnant and eventually she gave birth to George, so two donkeys for the price of one! These two lovely spirits lived with us for many years where they lived a happy life. Sadly one day much later in their life they became sick from dried ragwort in hay. The donkey sanctuary tried very hard to cure Brandy and George, we drove them up to their hospital but unfortunately it was to no avail. It was a sad end for Brandy and George but we took solace in the fact that the Sanctuary tried everything they could do. They went above and beyond the call of duty in their efforts.

Since then our family has adopted many more donkeys. We have had the pleasure of looking after Honkey Tonks, Ziggy and Carrots. They all brought great joy to our family. Our mother became known as the local donkey rescuer and has taken care of them all her life.

Needless to say this is a charity that is very close to our hearts. We have been given the opportunity to help pay the Donkey Sanctuary back for trying to rescue our own donkeys and I hope that you too will give generously to this worthy cause. As many of you know I have run a few marathons before but this time I will be running alongside my brother, he is a first time marathon runner. We both will be wearing our team donkey running shirts with pride and hoping that you'll be cheering us on!

Please, please help us to raise funds. Even if it is only $5 we will be extremely grateful. Thank you so much for your support, it means everything to us and especially these gorgeous fluffy eared donkeys who will forever be in our hearts.
