Deryck and I have decided to climb Scotland's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, with an organised team with funds going in aid of The Anthony Nolan Trust, Scottish Charity No.  SC038827.

The money raised for the charity goes towards research to help the lives of leukaemia patients.  The Anthony Nolan Trust conducts searches (both in the UK and overseas) for donors whose tissue types match those of the adults and children throughout the world who need a lifesaving bone marrow transplant.

Deryck's aunt in Melbourne, Australia, was diagnosed with leukaemia in August 2009 and we recently went out to visit her in April 2010, shortly after she has undergone a donor transplant; so this charity is close to our hearts.

Our Ben Nevis trek on 6th June takes around a 6 hour round trip, I hope you take time in the next month to sponsor me for this good cause.  We each have to raise £175.00 each.
