I will be making a splash on Sunday 27th May when I take part in White Water Rafting, with a group of friends from Belmont Academy. We hope you will support us to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland.

Dementia is a cruel disease that affects the brain causing sufferers to lose their memories, understanding and dignity. My granny and uncle have both lost the fight against Alzheimers and I know the helplessness, distress and heartache that family members also suffer.

I hope that by raising money for Alzheimer Scotland, it will go a little way to providing some help and support to sufferers and their families. As little as £50 can fund a day of respite care. I pray that some day research, such as that done by Alzheimer Scotland, will eventually find a cure.
