Story
Statistics say that cancer now affects 1 in every 2 people. That means in one way or another we can all be affected by this terrible disease.
My grandad Jim was a special person in my life who sadly lost his battle to prostate cancer many years ago. Since then I have seen many people, some strangers, through my job as a Diagnostic Radiographer, and others, friends, their families and my family affected by cancer. Macmillan do such valuable work in supporting people and families through these very difficult times.
By supporting me to swim in the Henley Swim Thames Half Marathon, you are helping Macmillan to provide vital life-changing services to people living with cancer and their families.
As always anything you can give makes a difference. This is going to be the farthest I've ever attempted to swim, and is 5.5k with 3 hours to complete. Please show your valuable support and see if I can get through the £1000 barrier! Thank you!
