Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
My lovely friend Sally Goddard will be taking part in the London Marathon on 2nd October 2022 in memory of my beautiful boy Jack Lewis. Jack was an amazing, smiley, happy boy who sadly passed away in September 2018. Jack had severe cerebral palsy, epilepsy and profound learning difficulties. We are raising money to support Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice where Jack passed away and want to help them support children and young adults whose lives are just too short. All services such as respite, family and sibling support, bereavement support and end of life care are provided to families like ours free of charge.
From Sally -
"My name is Sally; I'm a proud Mum of 2, Mighty Miller, Gin Drinker, Pizza Eater and amateur runner who is in the process of adding "London Marathon Finisher" to that list of accolades!
I was truly blessed when a valued friend of mine asked me to run for Bluebell Wood on behalf of her late son, Jack. I know it's going to be tough and there will be times I'll doubt myself but with the support of my family and friends and reading the stories of the children helped by Bluebell Wood, I am overwhelmed with a desire to achieve. I can do this!! "
Bluebell Wood have faced enormous challenges recently due to closure of clinical services, staff shortages and inevitably during the pandemic. We hope every penny of our fundraising efforts go towards helping them support families going forward, secure their services and keep their doors open.
We know that right now everyone is feeling the pinch with the cost of living increases, but we appreciate absolutely every penny.
Thank you so much for taking time to read this and for any donation you are able to make.
