Story
Let the fundraising begin! 💜
I am forever grateful to this trust.
I will be participating in the 5K Tulip Trundle between the 7th to the 17th April 2023 to raise anything I can, no matter how big or small for such a needed cause, but mainly, to raise awareness.
2018 was by far the worst time of my existence when I suffered a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, I needed emergency surgery and time in the ICU in an induced coma. Following that in 2020 I suffered a miscarriage due to complications from surgery.
I will always thank the ICU for my physical recovery....but I owe The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust for my mental recovery due to their knowledge, support and advice.
I have always said that there is no such thing as too much awareness out there for women and their families, especially when it comes to such sensitive and uneducated topics like this, or anything pregnancy related for that matter.
This trust is unbelievable for not only the support they give but the awareness they get out there for something so life threatening
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust strives to provide information, education and support to those affected by early pregnancy complications and to the health professionals who care for them. Ectopic pregnancy is a common, life-threatening condition that is the leading cause of maternal death in the first trimester of early pregnancy, The condition affects around 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK and occurs when an embryo grows outside the womb. The EPT believes that the deaths and trauma associated with ectopic pregnancy should be prevented. We seek to relieve the distress associated with the experience and provide ongoing support through their treatment and beyond.
