My Grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018. It is such an awful condition that there isn't a cure for. The Resource Centre in Dundee offered support to both my grandad and my grandma. The community activities allowed them to create new memories and enjoy their time together. The support that the centre provided has been invaluable. It allows people with dementia and their carers to have somewhere to go for advice and allows people to meet other families going through the same thing. My grandad has been in a care home since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and they still offered online catch up sessions with my grandma and everyone else at home. Making sure nobody faces dementia alone. The friendships that were created during these sessions mean so much, my grandma still meets up with some of the other carers that she met through the coffee catch up activities every week, even now.

I am raising money so that they can continue to offer such amazing support to families that will have to go through this. Making sure nobody faces dementia alone.
