In memory of Matilda Cornwell
We provide family-led care and support to children with life-limiting conditions

Story

CityLets York are organising a fundraising event on 9th July having been inspired by the amazing work Vicky Cornwell has done to raise money for Martin House Children's Hospice, since she lost her 3-day old baby daughter, Matilda, in February this year.

We would like to support Martin House continue to support other families who have the misfortune of going through such a life changing and tragic experience. I spoke to Vicky this week to see how we could help and in her own words, 'we don't know how we would have done it without them, they created memories for us which we would never now have and we now treasure more than anything in the world'.

Our fundraising day will involve a French themed 'tarts and tit bits' lunch open to all in the CityLets office and then 20 employees and their friends/families are taking on a 20 mile bike ride up York's old railway cycle track starting at 6pm.

If you can spare some small change to support this cause, every penny will be gratefully received. Martin House really offer an amazing quality of care and it is through the donations of generous people like you that they will be able to continue to help so many children and their families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
