Story
On Sunday 2 April I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
As most of you will know, my son George lives with Type 1 diabetes, having been diagnosed 3 years ago at the age of 10. My sister Victoria has also been living with Type 1 for over 30 years, again diagnosed at 10. Every day they face the challenge of manually controlling their blood sugar levels, but this task is made that little bit easier thanks to technology developed as a result of research funded by JDRF.
We are determined not to let Type 1 stop George doing anything that he wants to do and are super proud of all his academic and sporting achievements to date. We really appreciate your support and every pound donated means a great deal to me, George and our family and will help to make a difference to everyone living with Type 1 diabetes.
Thank you for your support - Claire X
