What do you do when things go wrong, or life is just overwhelming? Life isn’t perfect, we make mistakes, or something happens which pulls the rug from under our feet. Not everyone wants to confide in family or friends, for fear of judgement, or shame, or because everyone has something going on in one way or another and don’t want to be a burden.

Added to general stuff, Covid 19 created a world where we are more insular.  More and more people, including children are experiencing mental health issues and now we have spiralling costs of day to day living which are pushing families towards poverty and many people, through no fault of their own, are struggling to put food on their table and heat their homes. Subsequently there are more people who are feeling lonely, others overwhelmed and some who just can’t see a way forward.

Imagine if there was someone who you could talk to? To pick up the phone and just talk to a stranger who doesn’t judge, or try to tell you what to do, but just listens. 

So I’ve signed up to raise money for The Samaritans. A well known charity that people who need to talk to someone can pick up the phone 24/7. I’m going to walk 25km across the bridges of Central London and would very much like as many people as possible to give as much as they can afford to support me in raising as much money as I can.
