Story
Four directors from CLAAS UK will attempt to travel over 2,000 miles across Europe in just 48 driving hours, to raise money for research into heart disease.
The 4 Directors are taking on the challenge in memory of a much loved and respected colleague Patrick Wells, who died suddenly from a heart attack last August 2017, aged 62. Patrick had worked for the company since 1971.
''Team CLAAS" will mark the first anniversay of Patrick's death by driving a 16 year old London black cab from MANNS of Saxham to Monte Carlo and back, in just 48 driving hours. The car already has 350,000 miles on the clock and isn't partial to climbing hills, so the journey promises to be a challenging one! The route, inspired by the classic 1969 film Monte Carlo or Bust, will take them through six capital cities and eight countries. The taxi will leave Saxham on Friday 31st August and the team aim to be back in Bury St. Edmunds on the morning of September 2nd.

Heart conditions affect thousands of people in the UK, and every contribution, big or small, plays a crucial part in helping bring the next lifesaving breakthrough closer".
CEO Trevor Tyrrell says "Everyone was really shocked at Patrick's passing, it was really unexpected and it made everyone realise the fragility of our lives".
