Story
I promised our late Uncle Lou in February 2018 while he was in hospice after his beloved Philadelphia Eagles won the Superbowl, that I would one day run a marathon for him. I'm not exactly sure why I said that - I really hate running. And since I'm finally out of excuses to keep putting this off, I've decided that this is the year.
Many years ago, I served as a junior Board member and volunteered at The NY Foundling...aid for children in the foster system is very much a cause that is near and dear to my heart. So, I bit the bullet and I joined the Foundling's Marathon team this year...and now here we are...
Though training over the past few months has been absolutely grueling, I'm running the 2022 NYC Marathon this November 6th in honor of our uncle and I'm also running for the thousands of children and families served by the NY Foundling. Please help me reach my fundraising goal - every dollar raised goes directly to the Foundling -- to its crisis nurseries, to the Haven Academy, to Camp Felix, to its college prep programs and to job placement services for kids as they age out of the foster system -- these kids are so very deserving.
Thank you and lots of love to you all!!!
